The McDonough School of Business Young Alumni Mentor Program
Recognizing the benefits of connecting students with established alumni, the Young Alumni Mentor program links current MSB students with local alumni who have made great strides within their professional fields.

The program is small and selective to maximize the level of interaction between young alumni and undergraduate students. No more than five students are assigned to each alumni mentor, which creates a system of individualized guidance and networking assistance.
In partnership with Alpha Kappa Psi, the honors business fraternity, the Undergraduate Deans' Office is proud to sponsor this dynamic, synergistic program to benefit students, alumni, and the Georgetown community.

Membership
Student membership is restricted to second and third year MSB students who have a strong academic record and have demonstrated leadership potential.
Alumni mentors are all recent graduates from the MSB, and they all live locally. This allows a unique level of rapport between mentors and students.
Activities and Programs
Students and mentors meet at least twice each semester and maintain regular contact by e-mail. By incorporating both formal and informal events, the program exposes students to a broad range of personal and professional development opportunities. Events could include:
- Formal dinner with students and mentor
- Resume writing workshops
- Mock interviews
- Evening barbeque on the Leavey esplanade
- Guest speakers
- Professional visits to local businesses
- Social networking events
Application Process
Students apply for the program through an online application. Further details will be available later this semester.
