MCDONOUGH RECRUITER'S GUIDE:
THE GEORGETOWN MBA DIFFERENCE

Georgetown students are educated in one of the most rigorous and global programs in the world.

The Georgetown MBA Full-time program is a two-year program taught in eight modules, each lasting seven weeks, resulting in a General Management degree. The core classes provide every student with a strong foundation in marketing, finance, accounting, strategy, operations, economics and statistical applications. The second year of the program consists of electives offered across many functions and disciplines, enabling students to focus on specific areas ranging from management consulting to social marketing to microfinance.

Joint-Degree Programs. Every year, the extraordinary ambitions and skills of our MBA students take some of them into joint-degree programs:

MBA/JD (Masters, Juris Doctor)
MBA/MD (Masters, Medicine)
MBA/MPP (Masters, Public Policy)
MBA/SFS (Masters, School of Foreign Service)

Joint-degree students invariably have a broad perspective on business and can bring your organization unusual blends of knowledge and experience.  Students in these joint-degree programs can be sourced through our Career Management Office, just as you would source any of our other MBAs.

Evening MBA Program

The Georgetown MBA Evening Program is a rigorous, three-year program that makes full use of all of McDonough's superb resources and faculty and confers the same degree as our full-time program.

These are students who are working full-time while pursuing an MBA. They follow the same curriculum as our full-time students and apply their learning to the workplace on a daily basis.

The Global Integrative

Every second-year student in the Georgetown MBA program undertakes a team-based consulting project for an international company. The project consists of a classroom segment and field experience and culminates in an on-site presentation to the company at its overseas location. Students invariably cite this Global Integrative as the highlight of their experience at Georgetown.

If your company would like to participate in an international consulting project, please contact Employer Relations at Employer-Relations@msb.edu.
