Observing a Class

The McDonough School of Business Undergraduate Program Office works with faculty members to provide the opportunity of experiencing the academic environment in the McDonough School of Business. Professors in some Georgetown McDonough departments make their classes available to visiting students. Requests for class visits must be made at least seven days in advance of the campus visit by emailing the Undergraduate Program Office with the date and time of your visit.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate class visit requests on a walk-in basis, nor can we guarantee that specific courses or specific times will be available. Please keep in mind that course offerings on Fridays are limited. There may be more flexibility when visiting a Georgetown College (i.e. non-business) course. If you would like to visit a course taught in the College (e.g. economics, theology, history) please visit http://uadmissions.georgetown.edu/visiting/observing-classes.

All undergraduate business school classes are held in the Rafik B. Hariri building. Upon your arrival to campus, please stop by the Undergraduate Program Office in the Rafik B. Hariri Building, Suite 120, to fill out a prospective student information form. Once this is complete, please arrive in the classroom at least 10 minutes before the class is to begin. This allows you to make a proper introduction to the professor, who will make sure you get the most out of your class visit. We respectfully request that students remain for the full class session to avoid class disruption.  We also request that prospective students refrain from using any electronic device (computers, tablets, cell phones, etc.) during the class visit to allow for the best possible class experience.

Disability Services

Please contact the Office of Learning and Disability Support Services at (202) 687-9530 to make special arrangements for the campus tour or information session.
