Corporate International Master's
Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, ESADE Business School in Spain, and Brazilian Business School EBAPE/ Fundação Getulio Vargas have developed a Corporate International Master's (CIM) program, which will launch in fall 2013. Upon satisfactory completion of the program, students will receive a degree in Executive Master's in International Business (EMIB) from Georgetown University.
The one-year CIM program will be taught in three 11-day sessions in Washington, D.C., Rio de Janeiro, and Madrid; one five-day session in Shanghai; and online classes between the four destinations. The program, which will award a single degree with three attestations from the three institutions, seeks experienced professionals and executives interested in a world-class business education with a strong international perspective, while maintaining their personal and professional schedules. In addition, the CIM program will help prepare those who are interested in expanding their activities internationally and in understanding successful business practices within the United States, Europe, Latin America, and China.
Combining each school’s strengths, the CIM program aims to equip executives with fundamental business and general management skills. All elements of the program have been integrated to give participants the concepts and capabilities they need to be successful in the international economy. Core areas of focus include interpersonal dynamics, cross-cultural communication and negotiation, contextual awareness, managerial mobility, sensitivity to emerging business paradigms, technological and managerial innovation, decision making in times of uncertainty, and values-based leadership.
