Georgetown University’s Executive MBA (EMBA) is a 20-month program that concentrates on quantitative, analytical, and core business disciplines with a global focus. Students attend classes every other Friday and Saturday and participate in four week-long residencies. The EMBA Program is designed for full-time professionals with significant professional experience.

The Georgetown-ESADE Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) combines the strengths of three world-class graduate schools: the expertise in international business of ESADE Business School, the recognized leadership in the field of international relations of Georgetown's Walsh School of Foreign Service, and the proven experience in global residencies and interdisciplinary teaching of Georgetown's McDonough School of Business.

The program is specifically designed to accommodate executives with demanding professional lives. Delivered in a modular format over 14 months, the six 12-day modules take place in the commercial centers of Spain, Latin America, the United States, and India or China. Every module immerses students in the complexities of global business, integrating coursework with real-world, real-time challenges presented by faculty and working business executives.

What is the Executive Master’s in Leadership Program?
Georgetown's Executive Master's in Leadership(EML)is a distinctive graduate business degree that is designed to challenge and inspire executives from the business, government, and not-for-profit sectors as they study organizational leadership. This 12-month program integrates leadership perspectives from multiple disciplines and teaches students to become more creative leaders capable of producing positive change in their workplaces. EML students learn to anticipate how the future is likely to unfold, assess their organization's desired position, develop tools and strategies to implement change, and influence others to join in advancing towards successful outcomes. The EML cohort participates in a Global Residency that integrates and applies classroom learning to a real leadership problem in an international setting, and each student completes a Master's Project as the capstone of the program.

What is the cohort system?
Each incoming class completes all courses, extracurricular activities, international travel, and residencies together as a cohort. The cohort system forges bonds between fellow students, transforming them into trusted colleagues.

What is included in tuition for the degree programs?
Tuition includes course materials, meals on program days, accommodations during residency portions of the program, and travel within residencies or modules. Students pay their own travel expenses to and from each residency or module.

Can transfer credits be granted toward the program?
No. Students are required to complete the entire Georgetown curriculum as part of a cohort.

What is the typical profile of an Executive Degree Program student?
Georgetown Executive Degree Program participants represent diverse backgrounds of work experience from all industry sectors. Competitive applicants have a minimum of eight years of mid- to senior level management experience, as well as the academic and professional background to succeed in an accelerated graduate program. Experience working overseas or with an international organization is preferable, but not required.
