Georgetown-ESADE
Georgetown University offers the Georgetown-ESADE Global Executive MBA for highly mobile, accomplished professionals who want to take their study of global management beyond the classroom through a series of intensive modules in locations such as New York City, Moscow, Bangalore, and Buenos Aires.
Two of Georgetown’s graduate schools–the McDonough School of Business and the Walsh School of Foreign Service –offer the program in partnership with the ESADE School of Business in Barcelona, Spain, a leading institution with a strong focus on entrepreneurship and social innovation.
Each module takes place in a different world business center to illustrate globalization at work. Students spend an intense 12 days in each module and then return to work for 10 weeks before the start of the next module. The program spans 16 months and leads to a Master of Business Administration degree awarded by Georgetown University and ESADE Business School.

Program Design
The six modules are designed and sequenced to build upon one another, each establishing a strong foundation of concepts and tools that students may apply to the next.
The first module examines a broad set of macroeconomic issues in the context of the political, economic, organizational, technological, social, and cultural factors that shape global business.
The second module then focuses on the factors that drive change in different industries and influence the dynamics of globalization.
The third and fourth modules concentrate on the ways company structures and strategies influence effective management systems. In the fourth module, participants apply their knowledge and skills through consulting projects.
The fifth module challenges participants to extend their thinking as they contemplate new business paradigms. The process provides fresh perspectives on the opportunities created through the evolution of global business.
The sixth module is the capstone of the program. Students examine the roles senior executives play in leading transformation in global capital markets, institutions, firms, and individuals. They also take an active management role and collaborate in the development of the “Georgetown–ESADE Conference on Globalization.”
Students work together on coursework and projects and draw upon the skills, knowledge, and backgrounds of their teammates. Participants in this program come from a highly diverse professional background and more than half of them are from outside the United States. Their varied backgrounds ensure that everyone in the program benefits from an expanded worldview and a broader knowledge base.
