Global Business Experience

Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business MBA programs culminate in a broadened Global Business Experience (formerly the Global Residency program), which empowers students to more fully understand how business is conducted around the world—learning first-hand as well as from the experiences of their classmates. The Global Business Experience begins in the fall semester of the MBA students’ final year with both classwork and hands-on experiences consulting for organizations around the world.

Students now have the opportunity to work with international organizations in a greater number of locations and on more project topics.  In addition to traveling to the client country to present their findings to senior management, students also share their projects with their classmates during a Global Business Conference, which is organized and hosted by students at the end of the spring term. This conference extends the Global Business Experience as a signature element of a Georgetown McDonough business education.
