    A group of marketing research undergraduates recently toured the Verizon Center with Adjunct Professor David Ashley. The students heard presentations from Monumental Sports and Entertainment’s leadership about marketing analytics. Speakers included Joe DuPriest, vice president of marketing; Alex Kerr, research-survey processes and actionable insights; Jim Minichiello, CRM sales tracking, segmentation, profile/insights development; and Tom Nagle, company-wide analytics and data centralization efforts.

  • Study Reveals Most Gen Xers and Boomers Want to Age at Home, but 95% Fear Today’s Technology Is Not Up to The Task

    Philips and the Global Social Enterprise Initiative (GSEI) at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business released a survey today that found both baby boomers and Generation X (Gen X) place high value on technology as they age. However, 95 percent believe today’s technology needs to be better developed to help them successfully age at home, or age in place, for as long as possible. [See the infographic.]

  • Cypher Moderates Panel on “Global Flux and Real Estate”

    Matthew L. Cypher, professor of the practice in real estate finance and director of the Real Estate Finance Initiative at Georgetown McDonough, moderated a panel discussion on “Global Flux and Real Estate – Where are we Headed?” on October 21 in New York City. The panel included Robert H. Steers (B’75), co-chair of the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business Board of Directors and co-chief executive officer of Cohen & Steers, Inc., and Jonathan D. Gray, global head of real estate and a member of the board of directors of Blackstone.

    The Georgetown Center for Business and Public Policy at the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business will host “The Economics and Policy of Franchising,” a Business, Economics and Public Policy Seminar.

  • Georgetown to Host Discussion on Generational Equity and National Debt

    Georgetown University will host the final stop of the five-week, cross-country “Generational Equity Tour” presented by the non-partisan The Can Kicks Back campaign on Tuesday, October 29, at 7 p.m. in the Rafik B.  Hariri Building’s Lohrfink Auditorium. The tour seeks to educate and engage millennials on how the federal budget and national debt are impacting their generation.
