Aggarwal and Sturgess Earn Research Grant from Q Group
Georgetown’s Reena Aggarwal, Robert E. McDonough Professor of Business Administration and professor of finance, and Jason Sturgess, assistant professor of finance, earned a research grant from the Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance (Q Group) for their project on “The Role of Institutional Investors in Voting: Evidence from the Securities Lending Market.”

MBA Students Celebrate Its Diversity at International Festival
The MBA Student Government Association (SGA) hosted its third-annual International Festival Saturday, December 1, at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
“The international festival celebrates who we are at Georgetown,” said Michael Gart (MBA ‘13). “Thirty-five percent of our students are international, and this event is a chance for us to embrace, celebrate, and appreciate the diversity that makes up our student body.” -

EML Students Fulfill Global Residency in Cape Town
Students in the Executive Master’s in Leadership Program spent a week working for Raymond Ackerman Academy (RAA) in Cape Town, Africa, last summer as part of their Global Business Experience.
The Global Business Experience provides students the opportunity to put concepts learned in the classroom into practice in an international setting where student teams present recommendations to a client and participate in a week of academic and cultural experiences. -
Leadership Students Use Class Project to Help the Homeless
Doug Badini and Erin Cawley, seniors at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, recently combined a class project for Professor Brooks Holtom’s Leadership class with a desire to give back to the community. As a result, they secured a donation of 350 phone cards from AT&T for the Georgetown Ministry Center. Read more at the GMC blog.
