Alumna Viviana Jaramillo Recognized in El Mundo Boston's "30 Under 30"

Last month, Georgetown McDonough alumna Viviana Jaramillo (B‘15) was recognized in El Mundo Boston’s “Latino 30 Under 30” for her outstanding service and leadership contributions to Boston’s Latino community, as well as her professional accomplishments.

The El Mundo Boston “Latino 30 Under 30,” honors young individuals making an impact on the Massachusetts Latino community in multiple fields such as business, sports, community service, and fine arts. The list recognizes the impressive accomplishments of these young individuals, while shining a light on the emerging leaders and outstanding talent within the Latino community in the Commonwealth.

Jaramillo was first exposed to business by working at O’Neill and Associates, a public and government relations firm based in Boston, through her high school’s internship program.  Having experienced the positive impact of exposure to business before entering business school, Jaramillo went on to co-develop BUILD– Georgetown McDonough’s pre-orientation program specifically designed for freshman without prior business skills, to help students adjust to life as an undergraduate business student.

After graduation from Georgetown McDonough, Jaramillo continued providing leadership development and business preparedness to the Latino community of Boston. She is currently a member of the Leadership Advisory Council for Cristo Rey Boston High School, raising money for the school and expanding the business opportunities for its students.
