Georgetown University's Robert Emmett McDonough School of Business International Executive MBA program placed 11th  in the world and 10th in the country in BusinessWeek's biannual ranking of executive MBA programs, released in its October 20 issue. By subject area, the IEMBA Program continues to hold the Number 1 spot in the world in Strategy and 3rd in Global Business. The factors used to determine placement are the quality of the faculty, quality of the curriculum, and program support and logistics. The 2003 rankings result from a survey of more than 4,000 recent alumni plus 64 executive MBA program directors.

"This latest ranking reflects that we are positioned solidly in the top tier of executive MBA programs around the world, and we are excited about the recognition," said Dean John W. Mayo. "We will continue to work hard to improve the quality and value of our program, as well as the services and support we provide to our students."

According to BusinessWeek, McDonough School graduates laud the IEMBA faculty's "dedication, enthusiasm, and surprising expertise in a nonbusiness town." The IEMBA program received As from graduates for teaching and curriculum.

The top 10 business schools according to the magazine are Northwestern (Kellogg), Chicago, University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), Duke (Fuqua Global EMBA), University of North Carolina, IMD, UCLA (Anderson), University of Texas, Duke (Fuqua Weekend MBA), and Emory (Goizueta).
