    Event Celebrates the Opening of the Business School’s New Rafik B. Hariri Building

    In a gala event to mark the opening of the new Rafik B. Hariri Building at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger addressed the Washington, D.C., business community about the important role business plays in any occupation.

    Schwarzenegger, who holds a business degree from the University of Wisconsin, said he learned the value of business when he realized the people running bodybuilding competitions were making all of the money.

    The Distinguished Leaders Series annually brings to Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business accomplished leaders who share their unique experiences with undergraduate and graduate business students.

  • Financial Times Ranks Global Executive MBA Program No. 1 for Women

    Program also in Top 5 for Career Progress, International Resident Students

    In the 2009 Financial Times Executive MBA Rankings, Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business is ranked No. 1 for women students. The survey also lists Georgetown’s Global Executive MBA as No. 5 in the world and No. 1 in the United States for both career progress and international resident students. Overall, the program ranked as 37th in the world and 14th in the United States.

  • Professor Baer, Students Meet with European Union Leaders

    As part of Georgetown’s Graduate Program in International Management at Oxford, a group of five students, including two McDonough School of Business MBA students, and Professor Daniel Baer met with international leaders in business and government while in Brussels.

    The group met with Charlie McCreevy, the European Union Commissioner for Internal Market and Services (pictured above), and Christopher Murray, the charge d’affaires at the U.S. Mission to the European Union (pictured below).
