Bagels with the Dean Kicks Off Spring Semester with Anniversary Celebration

As part of the school’s 60th anniversary celebration, Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business kicked off the spring semester on Jan. 26 with a special anniversary-themed Bagels with the Dean. Hosted every Thursday morning during the academic year, Bagels with the Dean treats Undergraduate Program students to bagels, coffee, juice, and conversation.

The event has become a favorite undergraduate tradition since its inception in 2009. Eight years later, more than 48,000 bagels and 19,000 cups of coffee have been served.

At the Jan. 26 event, students were greeted in Shea Commons by a 60th anniversary poster board, which they were asked to sign, and given anniversary phone wallets that they could stick on their mobile phones. Students also were encouraged to take photos with cutouts of Jack the Bulldog in front of school banners. Corp Catering provided the bagels and beverages.
