Cypher Moderates Panel on “Global Flux and Real Estate”

Matthew L. Cypher, professor of the practice in real estate finance and director of the Real Estate Finance Initiative at Georgetown McDonough, moderated a panel discussion on “Global Flux and Real Estate – Where are we Headed?” on October 21 in New York City. The panel included Robert H. Steers (B’75), co-chair of the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business Board of Directors and co-chief executive officer of Cohen & Steers, Inc., and Jonathan D. Gray, global head of real estate and a member of the board of directors of Blackstone.

Hosted by the University’s Wall Street Alliance, the panel explored such topics as the implications of the government shutdown on real estate, the future of interest rates, the source of real estate capital, the volatility of emerging markets, and the future of the real estate market.
