Five Georgetown Interns Join Bono’s ONE and (RED) Campaigns
The Georgetown McDonough Global Social Enterprise Initiative (GSEI) announced that five Georgetown students are joining U2 lead singer Bono’s ONE and (RED) campaigns as interns this summer. The opportunities were established through GSEI’s relationship with Bank of America, a founding partner in the initiative, and were created with the organizations after hosting Bono on campus in November.
Georgetown MBAs Tee Dherapattana and Larson Bullock , as well as juniors Mariah Byrne and Ella Cohen, will join ONE, a grassroots advocacy and campaigning organization that fights extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa, in its Washington, D.C., office.
In addition, MBA student Lindsay Bruinsma will join the team at (RED), a division of ONE in New York City that seeks to reduce the number of AIDS transmissions from mother to child in Africa to zero.
