Georgetown McDonough Students Place Highly at Milgard Case Competition

In February, Georgetown McDonough students Molham Krayem (B ’17), Frank Estevao Maia (B ’17), Ha Young Shin (B ’16) and Erica Tsai (B ’17) placed fourth among 17 teams in the Milgard Invitational Case Competition on Social Responsibility at the University of Washington. The group also won their respective bracket in the morning to advance to the finals.

The Milgard Invitational Case Competition on Social Responsibility is a well regarded case competition that is sponsored by Pemco, REI, Outerwall, and the Chehalis Tribe. In all, $7,500 were distributed among the winners.

Students participating in the Milgard Invitational receive the case electronically the Friday prior to the competition. The teams then have three days on their home campus to research and prepare their presentation, which they submit via email on Monday morning. Finally, all teams report to the University of Washington’s Tacoma Campus the following Friday to present their solutions in person before panels of judges.
