Students Connect with Startups at Career Fair

Georgetown students had the opportunity to learn about life in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and to meet with nearly two dozen startups and high growth companies at the first Startup Career Fair, held on Feb. 5 in Shea Commons. The fair, sponsored by the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative, was open to both graduate and undergraduate students.

“We are happy to help Georgetown students from across campus connect with these amazing startup job and internship opportunities,” said Jeff Reid, founding director of the initiative. “Working in a startup company can be a life-changing experience for our students. Whether you join a startup as an intern or as a full-time employee after graduation, you get to be an important part of a high performing team with everyone pulling together towards a common goal. You can learn a lot about yourself and about a high growth industry, and you position yourself well for any number of future career opportunities. The rate of learning is tremendous, and you know that the work you do makes a meaningful impact on the organization.”
