Undergraduate Program Ranked 4th in the Nation by Poets & Quants

Poets & Quants announced today that Georgetown McDonough ranks fourth in its inaugural ranking of the 50 best U.S. undergraduate business programs.

“We are proud of our placement in this ranking, which is a reflection of our outstanding students, alumni, faculty, and advising deans, as well as our reputation as a top program in the world,” said Patricia Grant, interim senior associate dean for the Undergraduate Program. “When evaluated against our peers, Georgetown McDonough stands out for the quality of our incoming classes, the value alumni find in our global, liberal arts curriculum, and our students’ employment success.”

Poets & Quants, a leading online publication for graduate and undergraduate business education news, equally weighted three categories in calculating the ranking: Admissions Standards (quality of incoming students); Alumni Perspective on the full educational experience (through a survey of the Class of 2014); and Employment Data (internships, full-time employment, and compensation data).

Poets & Quants launched this new ranking to fill the void left by Businessweek, which no longer produces an undergraduate business school ranking, and to supplement the U.S. News & World Report ranking, which is based solely on the opinions of deans and senior faculty members.
