Social Media Marketing Magazine Counts Kormis Among Top 100 CMOs on Twitter

Social Media Marketing Magazine ranks Chris M. Kormis (@ckormis), associate dean and chief marketing for Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, as one of the top CMOs around the world on Twitter and one of only three from academia to make the list. Ken Huffman, chief marketing officer at BearCom Wireless and author of 8 Mandates for Social Marketing Success, compiled the list using a proprietary algorithm he developed while writing his book.

Kormis, who has been with Georgetown McDonough since 2009, uses her personal Twitter account to engage followers with marketing and communications advice and observations; information about news, events, and research at Georgetown McDonough; and interesting business-related news. The McDonough School of Business Office of Marketing and Communications, which Kormis oversees, maintains the school’s social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr, Tumblr, and You Tube.

In addition to Georgetown's McDonough School of Business, the other two higher educational institutions appearing on the list included Harvard Business School and the University of Arizona.
