Residencies

The Global Executive MBA’s residency experiences test students’ leadership and problem-solving skills and provide hands-on experiences. During intensive week-long programs, teams of students work on projects or strategic issues affecting a particular company or industry in locations around the globe.

The Opening Residency focuses on the strategic issues facing a single company or industry. With presentations by faculty, company executives, and industry analysts, participant teams analyze and prepare recommendations for a panel of judges.

The Business Development Residency brings together angel investors and venture capitalists to review participants’ plans. One or two of the plans typically attract venture capital interest.

Two Global Consulting Residencies take students overseas for a week at the end of their first year and again at the close of their second year to consult with businesses and other organizations. Teams work together on consulting  projects for four months prior to traveling abroad to deliver final recommendations to clients. Political briefings and cultural visits in the region are incorporated into the project preparation.
