  • Shari Hubert, Associate Dean

    Shari Hubert joined Georgetown McDonough with significant experience in the public and private sectors. Most recently, Hubert worked in the federal government with the U.S. Peace Corps as the director of recruitment within the Office of Volunteer Recruitment and Selection. In this capacity, she was responsible for the strategy to attract and recruit 4,000 volunteers annually and managed the operations of nine regional recruitment offices across the United States.

    Prior to joining the Peace Corps, Hubert was the senior vice president of campus recruitment for Citi’s Global Bank in North America and was responsible for overseeing the recruitment of analysts and associates into the corporate and investment banks as part of Citi’s Markets and Banking Division. She also held a position at GE's corporate headquarters, where she served as manager, campus relations in corporate recruiting and staffing. In this role, she was responsible for the overall recruiting efforts and budget allocation across the southeast region of GE’s strategic university relationships.

    Hubert also ran an executive leadership and civic development program named in honor of David Rockefeller at the Partnership for New York City, a business advocacy association focused on public and private partnerships. Immediately after receiving an MBA from Harvard Business School, Hubert was a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group. Finally, she began her career in sales and marketing at Merck and Co., Inc., after graduating cum laude, with a bachelor's degree in French from Dartmouth College in 1992.

  • Katelyn Rosa Stephenson, Assistant Dean

    Katelyn is passionate about education and began her career as an AmeriCorps volunteer and ACE teacher in secondary education.  She primarily focused on teaching middle school English on the border of Mexico (still one of her toughest and most rewarding roles to date!)  The majority of Katelyn’s career has been in higher education.  She has worked in Development and Alumni Relations, but has spent most of her time in Admissions at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Her main focus has been on international recruitment and operations and she still enjoys meeting prospective students from around the world.

    Katelyn joined the Georgetown MBA Admissions team at the beginning of 2008 and has worked in various capacities throughout her tenure there.  She currently oversees the Full-time and Evening MBA Program functions and remains passionate about helping people successfully navigate the process.

    Katelyn received a bachelor’s degree in English with minors in Spanish and Women’s Studies from Boston College, a master’s degree in Education from the University of Notre Dame, and completed coursework toward a doctorate in Higher Education Administration with a focus on International Education.

  • Shelly Heinrich, Director

    Shelly leads the marketing and communications team within the MBA Admissions department. Shelly has spent ten years in the higher education, non-profit, and corporate sectors. Her responsibilities have included marketing, recruitment, admissions, business development, event planning, and career services. Prior to Georgetown, she worked in MBA Admissions at the George Washington University School of Business. She also brings experience from The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business and the Syracuse University Whitman School of Management.

    Shelly received a Master of Education from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Christian University. Additionally, she recently completed a Certificate of Marketing from Georgetown University.

  • David Jacobs, Assistant Director

    David Jacobs oversees the analysis of MBA Admissions data and information. Jacobs joined the McDonough School of Business in 2010 and has worked in both the MBA Admissions Office and the MBA Career Center. He received a B.S. in finance from the University of Arizona, where he participated in a work-abroad program in London. Prior to working at Georgetown, Jacobs worked as a financial advisor, having received his Series 6, 63, and 65. Jacobs currently is pursuing an MBA at Georgetown.

  • 'Iolani Lightbourne, Associate Director

    ‘Iolani Lightbourne oversees MBA recruitment and admissions events at the McDonough School of Business. Prior to joining the admissions team, Lightbourne worked for Morgan Stanley as an investment banking MBA recruiter. She received a B.A. from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she concentrated in Africana studies, communications, and marketing.

  • Avis Lyons, Marketing & Events Coordinator

    Avis Lyons provides support to the admissions recruitment and interview process through event coordination, overseeing marketing outlets and working with student ambassadors and volunteers. Prior to joining Georgetown McDonough, Avis received her bachelor’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology after studying International Business and gained work experience in student affairs administration and the hospitality industry. 

  • Devin Owens, Front Office Coordinator

    Devin Owens is the first point of contact for prospective inquiries to the MBA Admissions Office, and she also provides application support. She currently is working toward a bachelor's degree in marketing at the University of Maryland University College with the goal of eventually earning an MBA. Prior to joining Georgetown, Owens excelled in the industry of retail banking and client support.

  • Michelle Roch, Assistant Director

    Michelle serves as the Assistant Director for Marketing & Communications on the MBA Admissions team. In this role, she sets the email and social media marketing strategy, manages web content, and serves as a member of the Admissions Committee. Prior to joining Georgetown McDonough, Michelle gained MBA Admissions experience from both the George Washington University School of Business and the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. In addition to holding a Bachelor of Arts in History from John Carroll University, she completed a Master of Arts in Students Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. 

  • Porter Watkins, Operations Coordinator

    Porter Watkins oversees the execution and logistics of application processing for both the Full-time and Evening MBA programs, including paperless application processing, credential evaluation, and decision processing. Prior to joining MBA Admissions in 2013, Watkins worked in communications for an international trade association in Washington, D.C. She obtained a B.A. in English from Georgetown University in 2011.

  • Amanda Wayner, Admissions Coordinator

    Amanda Wayner provides support for application processing operations and marketing for MBA Admissions. She originally joined Georgetown McDonough in 2012 as the front office coordinator. Amanda graduated from Ohio University in 2012 with a degree in political science.  Prior to arriving at Georgetown, she worked at Ohio University in the Office of the Dean of Students and as a student orientation leader.
