Leadership development is essential in order for an organization to sustain its competitive advantage. At the McDonough School of Business our approach to custom solutions is to focus on three main facets of leadership -- strategic, organizational and individual. In order to assure that executive development is nimble, relevant, responsive, and aligned with the organization's business objectives, we work closely with your management to identify critical issues facing your organization or industry through our Program Development process. The participants will have an opportunity to combine this newly acquired learning with their own insights and experience and apply this expertise to a topic important to the future success of the company.
Companies and organizations may want to focus on a particular theme or a topic important to their future success. To facilitate their learning objectives, participants will be assigned to a team and will participate in a variety of activities including lectures by professors, internal executives, industry experts, group exercises and case discussions. These activities will help the teams target several potential approaches to the problem at hand, negotiate solutions and reach an agreement. Finally, each team will present their decisions to a panel of experts including their own senior management. In a short and focused period of time, the participants will synthesize, analyze and integrate their knowledge from across the organization and use this knowledge to provide innovative and credible solutions to the senior management on an issue important to the their company or organization. |
