Our MBA candidates tell us there is a distinctive atmosphere at Georgetown. The emphasis -- both in and outside the classroom -- is on teamwork, cooperation, and friendly competition. Because McDonough School classes are smaller, students develop close relationships with one another, faculty members, and administrators.
The Full-Time MBA program is a 21-month commitment. Class lectures, case studies, and team projects are the methods of instruction. Students work together in study groups and are genuinely supportive of one another. Nearly 34 percent of our students are international, and approximately two-thirds of our students have either lived, worked or studied overseas. The Georgetown MBA Full-Time Program embraces the natural cultural exchanges that exist between our students, and our student organizations help facilitate this experience.
The summer internship experience is an integral part of the Full-Time MBA experience. Many students attend the Full-Time program to change careers, change industries, or gain additional management skills for their current position. Working with Career Management and obtaining a summer internship is the perfect opportunity to have exposure to new areas.
Diversity of thought, experience, and a true appreciation for others and how they can enrich your learning experience is what makes the Georgetown MBA Full-Time Program unique. Students form the kinds of relationships that last long after graduation. This atmosphere of easy camaraderie extends beyond the classroom to an active social life, both on Georgetown's campus and in the Washington, D.C. community. |
