Application Procedures and Deadlines 

Admission is for the fall semester; there is no mid-year admission. The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University encourages the application of all qualified persons interested in the study of business. Georgetown University is an equal opportunity / affirmative action institution in employment and admission. Applications for Fall 2009 should be submitted as early as possible.

Applications to the MBA Program should be submitted no later than midnight Eastern Standard Time (EST) on the deadline date.  However, an earlier submission is encouraged as it may allow candidates the opportunity to contact technical support should any issues arise during the online submission process.

* International applicants are encouraged to apply by the Second Round deadline. If you do not meet this deadline, apply as soon as possible thereafter.

Applicants applying to joint degree programs must apply separately to each school and should follow deadlines set for each application process.  Provided are links for each school:

Applicants for admission to the Georgetown MBA Full-Time Program are evaluated beginning in December of each year. You are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible in the admission cycle. The early MBA application deadlines are strongly recommended for international students and those candidates seeking merit-based financial aid consideration.

Completion of the admission file is the responsibility of the applicant.

Admissions Interviews 

As part of a competitive application, we encourage applicants to schedule an evaluative admissions interview. Interviews are available on-campus and locations throughout the world.

Reapplication Procedure

If you applied to the Georgetown MBA Full-Time Program within the last year and would like to reapply, you must submit the following:

• Letter / E-mail Requesting Re-Activation of Your File
• New Application Form (Parts I and II) *
• Updated Resume
• Essays (Including Reapplicant Essay)
• One Additional Letter of Recommendation
• Non-Refundable $175 Application Fee

Note to Reapplicants Regarding Use of the Online Application: Please do not attempt to login using your PIN from last year's application. Instead, please click on "create new account." After creating your new account, you may receive a "Duplicate Record" pop-up screen.  If so, please click on "continue & create new account" in order to begin your new application.
