ADMISSIONS INTERVIEWS FOR THE MBA FULL-TIME PROGRAM

INTERVIEWS

Interviews are required for admission to the Georgetown MBA Program.  The interview helps the Admissions Committee get to know you as an individual and to assess your candidacy according to various metrics.  Additionally, the evaluative interview provides an opportunity for you to share information to supplement your application. Please note that the interview policy in the fall differs from the policy in the spring.

FALL:  APPLICANT- INITIATED INTERVIEWS

On-Campus Interviews: We schedule and conduct these interviews from September to December.   All interview times are scheduled on a "first-come, first-serve" basis. Due to limited availability, interviews can be offered only to candidates applying for Fall 2009.

Follow these steps for setting up an interview:

  1. Register for an interview via our online system through this link:  interviews on campus.
  2. Send your resume to mbainterviews@georgetown.edu at least two business days prior to the interview. Upon receipt of your resume, an e-mail will be sent to you confirming your interview appointment.  If your resume is not received two business days before the appointment, you will receive a cancellation notice.
  3. A photo ID is also required at the time of the interview.

Off-Campus Interviews: As we travel around the world, we will set up interview opportunities based on the itinerary of a given trip.  Please check our recruiting event calendar to learn when a member of our Admissions Team will be in your area. Interviews are scheduled on a "first-come, first-serve" basis. Due to limited availability, interviews can be offered only to candidates applying for Fall 2009.

Follow these steps for setting up an interview:

  1. Register for an interview via our online system.  If you pre-register for an event listed on our recruiting calendar, you will receive an e-mail from us approximately two weeks prior to the event.  This e-mail will contain the appropriate link to register for the interview.
  2. E-mail to mbainterviews@georgetown.edu the following information at least two business days prior to the interview:
    • Current Resume
    • Official GMAT score

Upon receipt of your resume and GMAT, an e-mail will be sent to you confirming your interview appointment.  If both your resume and GMAT are not received two business days before the appointment, you will receive a cancellation notice.

(In the case where there is a recent GMAT test taken, the unofficial score should be sent along with confirmation from Pearson Vue that the official score report is being sent to Georgetown MBA; if an applicant requests that the score be sent subsequent to sitting for the GMAT exam, s/he must provide a copy of the confirmation e-mail from Pearson Vue when the additional score report -ASR- is requested.)

     3.     A photo ID is also required at the time of the interview.

SPRING:  ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE-INITIATED INTERVIEWS

From January to May, interviews are available only by invitation of the Admissions Committee.  After you submit a completed application for admission, the Admissions Committee will determine the need for an interview. Applicants selected to interview will be contacted via e-mail. Interviews are conducted by staff, students, and alumni -- either on the Georgetown campus or at select locations throughout the world.  All interviews, regardless of who conducts them or where they are conducted, receive equal weight in the evaluation process.
