Interviews are required for admission to the Georgetown MBA Full-Time Program. The interview helps the admissions committee assess interpersonal skills, motivation, and strengths of individual candidates. Additionally, evaluative interviews allow candidates to present a different view of their credentials to supplement the application. Please note that the interview policy in the fall (Sept. 1-Dec.14) differs from the policy in the spring (Jan. 14-April 25). In the fall, interviews are applicant-initiated. In the spring, interviews are committee-initiated.
If you are still deciding whether to apply this year, please do not sign up for an interview. Instead, you are encouraged to attend an information session and / or to visit a class. APPLICANT-INITIATED INTERVIEWS (Fall)
On-Campus Interviews: We schedule and conduct candidate-initiated interviews on campus from September 1 to December 14. All interview times are scheduled online and are available on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Due to limited availability, early arrangements are recommended. Interviews can be offered only to candidates applying for Fall 2008. You may sign up for an on-campus interview even prior to submitting your application. Georgetown MBA offers on-campus interviews for applicants who wish to visit our programs, attend an information session, and visit a class. Fall 2008 applicants are encouraged to schedule an on-campus interview.
Off-Campus Interviews: To request an off-campus interview, applicants MUST submit Part I of the Georgetown MBA Full-Time Program Application to be considered for an interview. Part I of the application includes the following:
- Personal / Biographical Data
- Test Scores (GMAT and, if applicable, TOEFL or IELTS)
- Current Resume
- Non-Refundable $175 Application Fee
Please check our recruiting event calendar to learn when a member of our Admissions Team will be in your area. Since off-campus interviews are offered on a limited basis, we will not be able to grant an off-campus interview to everyone who requests one. If granted an opportunity, you will be notified via e-mail. If you are not granted an off-campus interview, you are encouraged to complete your application, visit Georgetown's campus and schedule an on campus interview.
Requests for interviews will not be processed after December 14. After this date, invitations are made after a preliminary review of the completed application. We will contact you if you are selected for an interview.
ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE-INITIATED INTERVIEWS (Spring)
During the spring semester (January to April), interviews are available only by invitation of the Admissions Committee. After you submit a completed application for admission, the Admissions Committee will determine the need for an interview. Applicants selected to interview will be contacted via e-mail. Interviews are conducted by staff, students, and alumni -- either on the Georgetown campus or at select locations throughout the world. All interviews, regardless of who conducts them or where they are conducted, receive equal weight in the evaluation process.
You are encouraged to submit your application as early as possible. If invited to interview, you will have increased scheduling options available to you. |
