INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University offers a tight-knit community with international exposure. Georgetown is committed to maintaining international awareness and cooperation. As a part of that commitment, roughly 30-40% of each class is comprised of international students. Washington D.C. is one of the most significant and vibrant cities in the world today, and Georgetown MBA students are privy to its unique advantages.

Georgetown MBAs value and embrace the importance of cultural diversity.  As a result, there are numerous student organizations where students of similar cultural and ethnic backgrounds can spend time together and celebrate their unique traditions. International student organizations include the Africa and Middle Eastern Graduate Association, Asia Business Consortium, European Business Association, the Japan Club, Latin American Business Association, and the South Asian Business Association.  Georgetown MBA also proudly presents Global Diversity Day, an annual event, which is a celebration of the internationally diverse heritage of Georgetown MBA students.

Students interested in exploring international career opportunities may want to consider the global Corporate Treks.  Student organizations work with the Career Management office to plan trips to various cities around the world (including London, Japan, and Madrid) where they will have the opportunity to meet with corporate executives and network with Georgetown alumni.

All Georgetown MBA students gain practical experience working in an international environment.  A highlight of the Georgetown MBA Program, the Global Integrative Experience is a required course in which students present real solutions to an international business. The culmination of the residency is a week-long visit to the client at their place of business abroad.  The in-country experience typically includes guest speakers, case applicable site visits, meetings with local faculty and business leaders, as well as cultural events.  This unique experience ensures that all of our students have real-world international business experience upon graduation.
"Georgetown's emphasis on international business sets it apart from other business schools.  Our D.C. location is an advantage that cannot be imitated, and our reputation as an internationally-oriented institution is unrivaled.  Having distinguished speakers from all over the world -- like the former president of Spain or U.S. ambassador to China -- is an everyday occurrence at Georgetown."
