International Business
Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business offers an undergraduate concentration in international business to prepare students with the specific skills and perspectives needed for success in functional positions within worldwide enterprises.
Professionals working in international business require the same fundamental competence in the functional fields of accounting, finance, management, and marketing as their domestic counterparts. Students interested in the international business concentration are encouraged to pursue a concentration in one of these areas as well.
The international business concentration builds on this foundation to focus on global business trends and practices, to develop the special skills needed to adapt management methods to foreign environments.
Fields and industries studied in the international business concentration include the export-import market, national or international governmental agencies, international trade and development, international entrepreneurship, and commercial and investment banking on an international scale.
For an overview of the required courses in this concentration, consult the undergraduate course catalog here.
