Oxford Summer Program
Each summer for the past 33 years, Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business has partnered with Oxford University to enable select undergraduate business students to further their global awareness and international experience with summer study in the United Kingdom.
The program is designed for mature undergraduate students in business administration who have completed at least 60 credits and who are motivated to enrich their academic and personal lives with the experience of living and learning in a foreign setting.
During their stay, all students live on the campus of historic Trinity College only a few yards from the Bodleian Library and Radcliffe Camera. Enjoying close interaction with British instructors and tutors, students benefit from Oxford’s traditional teaching methods in lectures, seminars, and tutorials.
Students also make frequent visits to leading British firms to experience global business and intercultural exchange firsthand.
Comparative Strategic Management Program
July 1 - Aug. 10, 2010
Conducted over six weeks, the Comparative Strategic Management Program compares business functions in Great Britain, Western Europe, and the United States.
Comparative Strategic Management fulfills the strategic management (STRT-283) core requirements of all Georgetown McDonough School of Business undergraduate concentrations. International Finance counts as one of the upper-level international business core courses for the international business concentration and satisfies one of the elective requirements of Finance majors (FINC 250). Both courses earn Georgetown University credit, not transfer credits.
