Program Admission

Admission to the Oxford Summer Program is highly selective. To fully benefit from the Oxford pedagogy, the program is limited to approximately 40 students.

Competitive applicants must have an academic record demonstrating the ability to successfully complete intensive coursework in international finance and management, including a minimum overall GPA of 2.7, with at least a 3.0 in business courses. Any exceptions must be approved by the Undergraduate Dean's Office and the director of the Oxford Summer Program.

Eligible students will have earned at least 60 credits toward graduation and must have completed the following courses:

  • International Business (MARK-261)
  • Business Statistics (OPIM 172 or 174)
  • Micro & Macro Economics (ECON-001 & 002)
  • Business Law or Business Government Relations (ACCT-181 or STRT-265)
  • Business Financial Management (FINC-211)
  • Management & Organizational Behavior (MGMT-201)
  • Principles of Marketing (MARK-220)

Admissions criteria include consideration of general academic ability, potential for contributing to and benefiting from the program, recommendations, and an essay.

For non-Georgetown students, admission to the Oxford Summer Program does not imply acceptance as a degree candidate in any division of Georgetown University.
