McDonough School of Business Alumna Wins Nonprofit Leader Award
Kelly Sweeney McShane, a Georgetown University McDonough School of Business MBA alumna who is the executive director of Community of Hope, is one of five recipients of the 2009 Meyer Foundation Exponent Award.
For the past eight years, McShane has been at the helm of Community of Hope, which strives to improve health and quality of life for low-income, homeless, and underserved families and individuals in the District of Columbia by providing healthcare, housing with supportive services, educational opportunities, and spiritual support. During her tenure, she has doubled the number of people the organization helps and made changes that ensured the clinics could obtain steady funding.
