Alumna Nominated for MillerCoors "Lider of the Year"

Lizette Jenness Olmos

Public Votes Will Determine Winner

Lizette Jenness Olmos, national communications director of the League of United Latin American Citizens and graduate of Georgetown University’s Executive Master’s in Leadership program, is a finalist for MillerCoors’ Líderes campaign, which honors leaders in the Hispanic community.

Members of the public are invited to vote for the 12 finalists at www.MillerCoorsLideres.com through November 20, 2009. The winner will receive a $25,000 grant for a community leadership project with their nonprofit organization and MillerCoors.

Olmos was chosen as part of Líderes because of her passion and involvement in the Hispanic community fighting key issues as health care, immigration, education, hate crimes, and discrimination. The League of United Latin American Citizens advances the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health and civil rights of Hispanic Americans through community-based programs operating at more than 700 LULAC councils nationwide.
