Professor Brewer Named to Advisory Committee for 2010 World Investment Report

Thomas Brewer

Thomas Brewer, an associate professor at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, has been named to the advisory committee for the preparation of the 2010 World Investment Report, which is an annual publication of the U.N. Conference on Trade and Development in Geneva. The WIR is the standard reference source for information on the international investment, trade, and technology transfer activities of multinational corporations throughout the world. Each edition has a special topic, and the 2010 edition will focus on climate change issues, which is one of Brewer’s areas of expertise.

Brewer has worked on previous editions of the WIR on other topics, and he has advised the World Bank on the preparation of the World Debt Tables. Earlier this year, he made a presentation at a World Bank workshop that was held as part of the process of preparing the 2009 World Development Report, which also focuses on the topic of climate change.
