GEMBA Program Hosts Panel Discussion on Indian Retail Trade in New Delhi

During the Georgetown-ESADE Global Executive MBA module in India, Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and Spain’s ESADE Business School hosted a panel discussion on Indian retail trade on February 13, 2014.

Speakers analyzed the advantages, promises, and perils of the current economic and political changes in retail trade. Experts discussed how these changes affect local stories, mass retailers, and online retailers, and predicted what will happen to consumer behavior and foreign direct investment. The event took place at the Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi, India.

Panelists included Arun Chandra Mohan, co-founder and CEO, JABONG; Dev Amritesh, CEO, Dunkin Donuts India; Sunil Jain, managing editor, The Financial Express; and Subhash Agrawal, editor, India Focus. The discussion was moderated by Stanley Nollen, professor of international business at Georgetown McDonough.
