Georgetown McDonough Hosts Global Entrepreneurship Week D.C. Kick-Off
On November 14, the Entrepreneurship Initiative at Georgetown's McDonough School of Business hosted "Unleashing Ideas," the Washington, D.C., kick-off event for Global Entrepreneurship week.
Highlights include remarks from Carl Schramm, president of the Kauffman Foundation and co-chair of the Startup America Partnership, and D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray on promoting entrepreneurship in Washington. The program also featured a panel discussion by three of Georgetown McDonough’s entrepreneurs in residence: Timothy Keenan, president and chairman of High Performance Technologies; Alyssa Lovegrove, CEO and founder of New Venture Mentors; and Susan Wilson, CEO and founder of FundHer. It was moderated by Jeff Reid, director of entrepreneurship initiatives at Georgetown McDonough. The event was sponsored by the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week and D.C. Entrepreneurship Week.
