MBA Admissions to Host Focus on Diversity, Dec. 3

November 15, 2011

Prospective Georgetown MBA students are invited to campus on Saturday, December 3, for Focus on Diversity, where women and members of the international, LGBT, military, and minority communities have the opportunity to explore how earning an MBA at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business provides a transformational educational experience.

The day’s events, which run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Rafik B. Hariri Building, allow those interested in the MBA program time to engage with current students, faculty, alumni, and staff about the McDonough MBA experience. The schedule includes an address from Dean David Thomas, a class led by one of the school’s notable professors, panel discussions featuring alumni and current students, an overview of career and professional development activities, an admissions presentation designed to help prepare a competitive application, an informal networking reception, and the opportunity to attend the school’s annual International Festival.

Focus on Diversity is hosted by the Full-time MBA Program and MBA Evening Program, in collaboration with the Black MBA Association (BMBAA), the Hispanic and Latin American Student Association (HALASA), Georgetown Women in Business (GWiB), Gay and Lesbian Alliance (GALA), and the McDonough Military Association. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Business casual attire is appropriate.
