MBA Career Center Expands Offerings for MBA Students and Alumni

June 08, 2012

Georgetown McDonough’s MBA Career Center has expanded its staff and expertise to provide career coaching and other resources to all Full-time, Evening, and Executive MBA students and alumni.

To meet the needs of its expanded audience, the MBA Career Center has added several part-time career coaches to its existing 14 industry sectors, and extended its operating hours for career coaching. The center’s certified career coaches are industry or functional experts who manage employer relationships in their respective industry sectors.

Based on student feedback, the MBA Career Center will provide part-time specialty career coaching in the following areas: career clarification for undecided students; coaching for promotions for sponsored students; executive and leadership coaching for students in family businesses; and corporate and organization functions for students in human resources and operations positions.

Executive degree students now benefit from executive career and leadership coaching. Participants in the Georgetown-ESADE Global Executive MBA will have access to certified global executive career coaches, and Executive MBA students will be paired with experienced industry experts to advise them as they look for a new job or pursue a promotion with their current employer.

MBA Alumni Career Coaching includes coaching for job search, promotion, leadership, and executive presence. Through the Georgetown MBA Career Connection (GMCC), alumni also can apply for jobs posted by other MBA alumni.
