MBA Students Reach Goal of 1000 Hours of Service
This year marks the Georgetown McDonough MBA Volunteer Club's second annual Month of Volunteerism (MOV). This club organizes community service projects across a broad range of opportunities and organizations with a goal for Georgetown McDonough to reach 1,000 service hours in November. As of November 19, the McDonough community has contributed more than 1,000 hours, secured nearly 100 events, and worked with more than 60 organizations. Events ranged from tutoring fifth graders in financial literacy, walking dogs, running for the homeless, and making 1,400 sandwiches for Martha's Table. With one week left in November, the race is still on to reach Dean Thomas' goal to have 100 percent of the McDonough MBA student community participate in MOV.
