MBAs Visit California Companies and Alumni

April 11, 2011

Georgetown MBA students recently traveled to San Francisco and the Silicon Valley for the annual MBA Cal Trek. Organized by Georgetown’s MBA California Business Consortium, the three-day event gathered 24 Georgetown MBA students plus one MBA student from the ESADE Business School in Spain to visit UBS, Hewlett Packard, Google, Corporate Executive Board, Maxim Integrated Products, IBM, and Pacific Gas & Electric.

Accomplished alumni helped host these visits, which provided and inside view of each company’s offices, conversations about corporate strategy, and guidance about career paths for MBA graduates. A networking happy hour with Georgetown University alumni was held in San Francisco to conclude the trek.

Cal Trek is a student group that facilitates West Coast recruitment across many industries and functional areas. Each January they organize a trip to the San Francisco Bay area to visit companies of interest to current students and network with Georgetown University alumni.
