NYSE Rings Closing Bell Remotely from Georgetown's McDonough School of Business

Georgetown University McDonough School of Business students and faculty participated in a remote closing bell ceremony for the New York Stock Exchange Tuesday, September 28. Joining them were Ricardo Ernst, deputy dean, McDonough School of Business; Lawrence Leibowitz, COO, NYSE Euronext; Reena Aggarwal, Robert E. McDonough Professor of Business Administration and professor of finance, McDonough School of Business; and George Daly, dean, McDonough School of Business (pictured in the front row).

After the bell-ringing ceremony, Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, in partnership with NYSE Euronext and the Financial Times, hosted a panel discussion about “The Role of Capital Markets in Job Creation.” Moderated by Gillian Tett, U.S. managing editor of the Financial Times, the panel included Tom Adams, CEO, Rosetta Stone; Reena Aggarwal; Lawrence Leibowitz; Kevin A Plank, founder, CEO, and chairman, Under Armour; and Kevin M. Warsh, member, Board of Governors, Federal Reserve System.
