March 03, 2011
Georgetown University McDonough Business School undergraduates Jonathan Chen, Krista Lausman, Brendan Maggiore, and Kent Strader placed fourth in the McDonough‑Hilltop Case Competition during the weekend of February 26.
The 2011 edition of the McDonough‑Hilltop Case Competition asked business students from 20 colleges and universities to address a challenge from Agora Partnerships. They had to determine a viable, self-financing business model for a program that assists and educates entrepreneurs in Central America and find innovative ways to engage and develop undergraduates passionate about social entrepreneurship.
The final results from the weekend case competition are as follows: 1. McGill University; 2. Northeastern University; 3. University of Michigan and 4. Georgetown University.
The student director of the 7th Annual McDonough‑Hilltop Business Strategy Challenge was Nehal Skukla, and Deputy Dean Ricardo Ernst was the guest speaker at the Awards Dinner.
