Information for Incoming Students

The first year of college is exciting, but can also be overwhelming at times. Don't worry, the Georgetown McDonough Undergraduate Program Office is here to help and guide first-year students to any resources needed to help with the transition to college. Below is a list of resources to help first-years get started:

  • If you are an new first-year or transfer student for the Fall 2012 semester, please carefully review the pre-registration booklet.
     
  • If you are a first-year student expecting to earn college credit based on AP test scores, International Baccalaureate programs, or 13th-year programs, please download, complete and submit the Expected Advanced Credit Information Form, as per the instructions on the form.
     
  • First-year students should also review the sample first-year student schedule.  Transfer students will receive recommended courses in their pre-registration packet. 
     
  • New Georgetown University Student Guide!  The New Student Guide is the comprehensive booklet for first-year and transfer students to beginning life on the Hilltop. It contains information about academic registration, housing, pre-orientation programs, finances, resources on campus, and important contact information. It is important to read the New Student Guide to learn about important deadlines and campus support that will help you transition more easily to Georgetown.
