Eric Sondag has been a partner with Searchlight Capital Partners since 2011. He has more than 16 years of experience in financial services, previously working as vice president at GTCR Golder Rauner and as vice president at Wasserstein Perella, both in Chicago. At Searchlight, Sondag primarily focuses on the media, communications, education, and consumer services sectors. He was instrumental in Searchlight’s recent investment in Cengage Learning, for which he now serves as chairman of the board.
Sondag holds a degree in finance from Georgetown McDonough and completed the Executive Management Program at INSEAD in Singapore. He is a board member of Canadian retailer M&M Meat Shops and has supported several nonprofits with a focus on early childhood education.
