Jeff Powers started at The Rawlplug Company and became president in 1995. Alongside three brothers, he bought out his father and changed the name to Powers Fasteners. The 3rd generation brothers grew a tiny sales company into a large multinational sales and manufacturing entity operating in nine countries. In 2012 as banker, Powers sold the family business to Stanley Black and Decker for 11.9x EBITDA cash then founded powersGROUP, where he consults for privately owned companies seeking guidance to properly manage a family business, prepare for an IPO, or sell to a synergistic buyer.
Powers holds a BSBA in finance from Georgetown McDonough. He founded Float Hope of Indian River County Inc. and serves on other charitable boards. He also is a Knight of Malta and a Eucharistic minister in the Catholic Church.
