Paolo Cicchine has been a managing director and head of healthcare investment banking for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Nomura since October 2008. Cicchine was Financial News’ “Banker of the Week” in May 2011 after leading Nomura’s European advisory effort on drug firm Takeda’s $14 billion acquisition of Swiss rival Nycomed. Prior to this, Cicchine served as a managing director at Lehman Brothers and as a director at Dresdner Kleinwort, a British investment bank that was acquired by Commerzbank in December 2008.
Cicchine holds a BSBA in economics from Georgetown. He also is a member of the executive committee of the Georgetown University City Alliance.
