Thomas Pryma joined AEA Investors LP (AEA) in 1999 and became a partner in 2003. He focuses on investments in the value-added industrial products and services sectors. Currently, he serves on the boards of API, NES, Numotion, and TricorBraun. Also, Pryma served on the boards of AEA portfolio companies ProMach, Dematic, Evoqua, RelaDyne, Behavioral Interventions, Cogent Healthcare, Houghton International, Kranson Industries, Northern China German Automotive, Pregis and Unifrax. He is based in New York but also spent time in London helping establish our European activities.
Before joining AEA, Pryma was with the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch, where he advised a broad range of private equity investment firms. As part of what was at the time the leading financial sponsor coverage practice on Wall Street, he worked with many large-cap and middle-market firms on all aspects of their investment activities.
Pryma received a B.S. in finance and accounting with a minor in mathematics, with honors, from Georgetown University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He resides in Summit, New Jersey, with his wife and two sons. He also serves on the Board of Trustees and as Treasurer of the Peck School.
