Leadership and Insider Threat: Creating a Culture of Security

This fast-moving seminar, taught by faculty at Georgetown's McDonough School of Business and Walsh School of Foreign Service Center for Security Studies, will address multiple layers of understanding and preventing insider threat to organizations.

Participants will:

  • Explore academic and practical approaches to dealing with insider threat
  • Consider how to perform an organizational “pre-mortem”
  • Explore the role of organizational culture in preventing, detecting, and mitigating insider threats
  • Look at models and tools to anticipate vulnerabilities and develop a 360-degree approach that incorporates management and technical solutions
