The Master of Arts in International Business and Policy (MA-IBP) blends the strengths, faculty, and curriculum of the McDonough School of Business and the Walsh School of Foreign Service. The MA-IBP curriculum provides an understanding of the frameworks and mechanisms that drive business and international relations and explores those concepts in contemporary global issues. The program is delivered in six one-week modules and two four-week online courses over a 12-month period.

Modules and Courses

Each in-person module consists of three courses: one McDonough School of Business course, one Walsh School of Foreign Service course, and one theme course incorporating several industry practitioners, site visits, and relevant coursework pertaining to the current events of the region.

The Social Action Project

Building on our Jesuit heritage, each student also completes a social action project that offers the opportunity to research a real-world issue, and under the guidance of a faculty mentor and/or partner organization, creates an action plan to address it.
