The Georgetown University Law Center and McDonough School of Business offer a full-time, four-year program that leads to dual JD/MBA degrees. The program is designed for highly motivated students interested in the intersection of law and global business. 

From analyzing complex financial statements in discovery to negotiating international transactions, our JD/MBA graduates have the substantive knowledge and advisory skills necessary to zealously advocate for their client’s best interest.  Whether they work in the public or private sector, our joint degree graduates understand how current issues and changes in public policy, governance, and ethical standards impact the intersection of practicing law and conducting business in a global economy.  Likewise, our graduates enter their career search with the collective knowledge and insight taught by faculty who are top scholars and practitioners in a variety of industries --- their expertise and advice is both tangible and unparalleled.

Students must be accepted by Georgetown McDonough either before staring Law School or by the first round MBA admissions deadline during their first year of Law School.

This program requires successful completion of 124 graduate-level credits.  This includes 48 MBA credits (39 core, 9 elective) and 76 JD credits (48 or 49 core*, 28 or 27 elective). 

*Students are required to take a Professional Responsibility course, this course is taught in a two- or three-credit format, making the total JD core requirement 48 or 49 credits.
