Georgetown MBA COVID-Accessibility Test Waiver Policy

Returning users: Log in to continue or complete your application

A standardized test score is one piece of information that helps the admissions committee provide a holistic review and determine your academic preparedness for the MBA curriculum. We currently accept the following tests to our programs:

Full-time MBA: GMAT, GRE, EA (valid or expired)
Flex MBA: GMAT, GRE, EA (valid or expired), LSAT, MCAT, Academic Waiver
MAAP: GMAT, GRE (valid only)

While testing centers have resumed to near-normal capacity in most countries, there are some applicants that are still having issues accessing these tests. If you do NOT have one of the tests stated above to submit AND you are having test access issues, you may apply for a waiver. Please read the considerations and requirements carefully.

Rules and Considerations

Required Eligibility

Additional Criteria to be Competitive for a Waiver

  1. You must have a minimum of three years of paid, full-time, post-undergraduate work experience (MAAP candidates are exempt from this requirement, but should have competitive leadership experience otherwise).
  2. You must meet one of the two following GPA requirements:
    • Undergraduate or graduate cumulative GPA of 3.1 or greater in one of the following majors (minors not considered): business administration, science, engineering, technology, math.

    • Undergraduate or graduate cumulative GPA of 3.3, plus any one of the following three criteria:
      • CPA or CFA (or international equivalent), or other quantitatively rigorous certificates. Applicants are required to upload proof of certificate with their transcripts.
      • Demonstrated undergraduate or graduate-level quantitative coursework with a minimum grade of “B” or better in at least two rigorous quantitative classes (e.g. finance, accounting, stats, calculus, advanced math, engineering, physics.) Economics courses are not considered in this set.
      • Three or more years of post-undergraduate full-time work experience in a quantitative, mathematical, or analytical field where the majority of your job responsibilities require rigorous quantitative analysis. Please note that working in excel and pivot tables for simple analysis would not qualify.

If you do not meet the criteria above or if you have doubts about meeting the quantitative criteria stated, we encourage you to consider submitting a test score with your application.
